Workshop: Aura & Voice Chakra Toning

CHAKRA HARMONICS

Our body is a finely tuned instrument with a symphony of frequencies, all working together in harmony. Unique sounds make up the signature of our body vibrations and the voice is a our indicator of which frequencies are playing out the strongest or which parts of the body are inactive and in need of repair.

Sounds can be harmless when played on their own, but by bringing more than one sound together with other sounds, we can create combinations of sounds that are harmonious or they are discordant.

Certain notes can be played as part of a 'set' called a chord. Discordant means the set or chord is not working together for harmonious sound. There are many formations of chords, with the basic major chord making up a principal (start note), a major Third and a Major 5th. The minor equivalent has a minor third.

To distinguish between major and minor notes, we have to look at the different heptatonic and pentatonic scales and how tones and semitones make up the different harmonics. A great way to gain better understanding about the ancient Vedic and Tibetan sound healing methods is to understand the 'circle of fiths and fourths' which correspond to the chakras on the body. There are plenty of helpful free online tools that help teach us about sound.

With a better understanding of the classical music systems and all their variants, we can work out a lot more about the harmonics of sounds and how different combinations of tones (such as Solfeggio healing tones) in both the 440Hz and 432Hz tuning models will create different feelings, energetics and emotive states.

Vocal Harmonising & Chakra Alignment
There are multiple 'systems' available to explore on the subject of sound and paths to take along our discovery of which system works the best when using sound healing frequencies.

There are harmonic systems that use the circle of fifths with a 'perfect fifth' ratio 2:3 (as mentioned above) and the Fibonacci sequence which embodies the life-bringing Golden ratio for activation of vortex healing spirals. There are systems that work on intuition alone.

The Frequency of Love
One of the great minds who have pioneered sound as a scientific tool for healing is Dr Leonard Horowitz, who has written a number of books about sacred sounds, mathematics and protected information, including '528 Love' and 'Healing Codes'.

Dr Horowitz has created his own system using the Solfeggio frequencies that align with the energy centres of the body, the chakra 'seed' sounds, the octave of colours and the sacred vowel sounds – an impressive feat to bring all of these systems together – and yet, there are other systems that both complement and detract from this.

All systems of sound therapy can work independently and work harmoniously together to heal, because every sound contains all of the other sounds and all of the octaves of sound that we can hear and even those sounds we cannot sense!

Voice & Movement
One of the great proponents of vocal healing is the brilliant Chloe Goodchild, with her book 'The Naked Voice', who uses sound, movement and intention for Vibrational Healing. Using the seven 'tonal soul energies' to allow these ancient sounds of the chakras to reverberate through the body,  we can activate the energy centres to achieve greater health and vitality benefits.
