  EMOTIONS FOR POWER Emotions can affect mood, hinder performance and poison our minds. Left unchecked, emotions that have negative effects on health, can bring about mental illness and chronic symptoms will manifest as physical malaise. Emotions needn't be a reactive force and needn't have negative effects on the body and mind. We can choose our emotions – and we can choose the emotions in a way that benefits our lives. Words Used For Powering Emotions Words have power. Words are energy containers and they can be used to program the emotions. Saying positive things to ourselves - particularly at the beginning, to set up our purpose of the day and also at the end of our day, to program our subconscious for better sleep. Our senses feed information into our minds and it's our interpretation of this torrent from the environment about us, that becomes our personal universe. All our connections, including everybody and everything we come into contact with, will be  relative to only us  in our own unique way.   EMOTIONS Being able to control emotions rationally in a situation where others are losing their head, is a great skill.  Emotional detachment  for action in tricky situations, where we seek the correct motives for action based on sound ethical and moralistic grounds, is how we should all act. Removing emotions from decision-making and using intellectual judgment, is fine for the times when fear, anxiety and purely  narcissistic  characteristics cause us to take the wrong approach. But having an always purely rational and intellectual contemplative approach could mean the emotions we suppress are taking hold in other areas of our  psyche , manifesting in our bodies and coming out in unexpected ways and at times where we have either no recognition of these emotions, where they have come from or we are unable to attach ourselves to them - because of a disconnect with the ego called  emotional detachment disorder .
