Workshop: Spring Detox – Pipe Cleaning

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR

The Victorian era was when our 8,8,8 day was first established. Breaking up the day into work, rest and play time was designed to prevent burnout and to better manage the workforce. Parks, recreational spaces, hospitals and children's nurseries were set up as 'sweeteners' for the populace – but they were really set up to ensure healthier workers for greater productivity.

Eight hours of sleep really IS the best medicine to ensure the other two-thirds of our day can be fully utilised. With clean water and fresh air being the most essential ingredients needed, plus quality nutrition and low stress to stay in balance, we can all maintain a good level of health.

Division of labour during the Victorian era (Peak Freans clip 1900's) – meant many workers were required for specific jobs in a factory 'conveyor belt' fashion. It was important to keep workers healthy and not break the chain through absenteeism. During this period, children's homes managed orphans, with many working in factories or doing the jobs that adults couldn't do – like cleaning out clogged chimneys.

The 'nanny state' symbolised by Mary Poppins, 'saviour of the working classes' and firm (but fair) guardian to children – is both metaphorically a symbol of governance, but also in actually, has become the 'spell' we have been put under. With our consent, we've given our powers away for self-governance. Too much reliance has been placed on the state.

As sovereign beings, WE are the highest authority. WE are the governors of our body, and therefore, WE will decide our own fates through choices made and the actions taken to manage our health.

Now that we have established foundations to work from, let's look at the actions to take...

Filtering Systems – WATER
Clean water has been the number one factor for lowering mortality rates. Managing sewage properly to ensure we aren't drinking bacteria-polluted water and good hygiene has meant fewer complications – especially during childbirth. Despite this being common sense, it took a surprisingly long time for the practice of hand washing to be adopted. Clean water should be paramount for all – but yet again, we've put much trust in the 'experts' working for the state, who fail to apply common sense.

A high-grade stainless steel water distiller is a great way to purify water. We have filtered our water since 2020 and the benefits are clear. Being 85%+ made up of water – the body needs clean sources to perform at its best. With so many environmental toxins and harmful food additives now prevalent, we don't consider what synthetic ingredients and chemicals used in agriculture may be doing in our bodies – but we can see what remains after using a water purifier...

Chemicals & Cancer
When folks realise what is contained in our tap (and bottled) water and they make the connection to what is contributing to poor health – it's much like a lightning strike has hit.  Here's a list of the chemicals added to our water (backed by regulators) – for 'purification' purposes, including treatment of sewage and to remove any rancid aromas. Now look up what some of these chemicals, deceptively sold to us as being beneficial to health, are linked to here and here. The image above shows the brown sludge, smelling like a soiled nappy, that is left in the bottom of our distiller after one batch.

Below are listed some of the commonly used chemicals to replace naturally occurring calcium fluoride. These are used for multiple purposes – but chemicals would not be needed at all, if the work was carried out to improve antiquated water filtering systems. But it costs money.

Luckily, the state is now able to access an abundance of cheap labour and as many of their institutions and processes are moving towards online/AI/automation solutions, they won't need as many humans. Perhaps the state aren't so concerned now about keeping the workforce in tip-top shape....for you to decide!

– Sodium hexafluorosilicate
– Hexafluorosilicic acid
– Sodium fluoride

Filters are relatively cheap and easy to buy in the UK – here

Filtering Systems – AIR
Much the same issues we now have with contaminated water, there are multiple pollutants in the air, linked to what we call 'asthma' and other badges given for irritated lungs. Clean air is a phrase we use to describe air that hasn't got anything bad in it – however, air is not 'pure' as it contains billions of tiny particles of organic matter as well as the gasses, particles and floating debris we've contributed to releasing in the air. There isn't much we can do to rid the air completely of bits that can get into our lungs, so the best method of retaining lung health, is to breathe.

Yes, breathing is a solution to the 'problem' of having particles in the air. We have to keep breathing out, to expel the air containing the waste we've breathed in! Buying an ioniser for the home is a nice way to receive positively charged hydrogen ions, which are known to improve mood and contribute towards better health. Face nappies only create the environments for bacteria to thrive.

A sure way to improve lung function is to actively purge the lungs. The best method to do this is to breathe excessively – something called 'exercise'. This doesn't need kit and gym memberships; it can be as simple as taking two stairs at a time, fast walking and getting a certain amount of steps in per day.

Purging The Lungs Of Phlegm
Phlegm is a good thing – it means the lungs are getting cleared out. However, bad diet, poor CV health, inactivity and toxic environments may mean the phlegm becomes too excessive for us to clear easily by simply breathing.

Clearing heavily congested lungs can be accomplished by a number of techniques. The first three on this list are methods I personally practice daily as part of a 10-minute Qi Gong energy activation exercise:
– Chanting the Haaa Chakra Heart sound to vibrate the lungs.
– Drumming chest: With balled fists to dislodge the mucus. Try for 3-5 minutes in the morning.
– Deep breathing with the tongue all the way out: to release toxins in the throat and on the tongue.
– Invert the body: Place legs up the wall, elevating the chest above the head to drain fluid.
– Gargling: Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 bicarbonate of soda to half a glass of water. Sloosh mouth.
– Steam inhalation: Add a few drops of Olbus Oil to boiled water to open up the capillaries of the lungs.

All the above methods work – and should form part of a regular and ongoing program of self-care.

Lions Breath Technique
The above video and this video link here, both show how to effectively drain the lungs of excess phlegm. This isn't a pretty thing to watch, isn't a social thing to do and doesn't sound very nice when coughing up mucus – but it works. There are no 'quick fixes' for clearing the filters and it takes a lot of discipline and efforts to control the diet to remove all the ingredients that are known to be toxic, all which compromise the lungs and digestive system.

Mucus Control
We are in control of what goes into our mouths. We can control what we eat and how much exercise we do, but there are things that we can't control – like microplastics, brake dust, animal faeces, dust mites and all the other particles we breathe in (especially in the London Underground). To rid the body of waste, we have mucus to help us expel the waste through our mouth, via the gut and through the breathing airways.

The Diets and herbs referenced in the book above – help to activate sweating, nose running, eye flushing and bowel emptying. Reducing the amounts of mucus we create helps keep the lymphatic system running without blockages. Herbal remedies are very effective, as are reducing starchy foods and diary.

To reduce mucus levels, we can also reduce the amounts of mucus-activating particles entering our body.

Nose Douche – Neti Pot
Yogis regularly practice cleaning and purging techniques and exercises. Yoga is a great way to move the fluids around in the body. Pranayama (breathing) techniques, inversions and wringing the internal organs out through twisting and body locks – all help to keep the body functioning well.

One of the best techniques for keeping out particles from our nose (best place to breathe from), bacterias and pollutants that contribute towards ill-health – is called a Neti Pot (available from Amazon here).

Much like the process with throat gargles, we simply need warm water (distilled water is best), with some salt added and a very small amount of bicarbonate of soda too (if we already have a bacterial issue). There are many videos on YouTube – explaining how to do the Neti Pot nose flush.

As with the throat gargle, this rinse should form part of a regular health program to ensure we rid the nose of compacted dirt and kill off the bacterias that have nested in the sinuses.

Eye Douche – Goggles
A simple way to clear the eyes is to fill up swimming goggles with saline solution, put them on and move the eyes around to get a bit of saline douching. Opening the eyes in the shower to let the water clean the eyes can also work as well as wake us up!

For congested eyes, use a light soapy warm solution, ensuring to remove any gritty fluids in the corners of the eyes and greasy remnants of the day/night that tend to line the eyelids. A lot of the eye issues we face today can be rectified by cleaning the eyes with a mild saline solution and soap (flushing under the eye lids too). Herbal remedies, parasite cleanses and liver flushes also help to remove floaters' and other pollutants causing blurry vision.

Colon Douche – Irrigation Kit
With such high numbers of bowel cancer now, especially types of colon cancers and increasingly for men, prostate cancer – the most important piece of kit in this post should possibly be an enema kit.

With such sedentary lifestyles (I'm currently sat at a computer for hours at a time now writing) and with all the chemicals in our water, our food and in the air – the colon is our waste disposal unit, where sometimes the waste accumulates for 48hrs or longer, seeping toxic substances into the lining of the large intestine and causing irritation that gets infected.

Coupled with regular periods of fasting (I've just finished a 6-day water and juice fast), a colon douche should be part of a semi-regular health regime.

Adding a coffee enema to the health regimen is also another way to help purge the lower intestines of harmful bacteria, and it also activates the liver to keep the digestive system running smoothly. As gross as this may sound, many people never carry out any of the health-benefitting measures, let alone change their lifestyle habits – and when they get ill (I have two friends now going through chemo), these folks are very open (no pun intended) to having complete strangers looking up their backsides.

Yes, it's a bit weird at first, and yes people on YouTube talking about it is strange. But you don't need to film yourself, nor share the findings with your friends. Just do some research and decide if fasting, cleansing and purging are going to improve your health – and get on board with a colon cleansing kit.

The best coffees can be sourced from a good high street retailer or online here

Last but not least – everyone doing a liver cleanse and doing the three-day apple juice fast beforehand – the best way to check what comes out of your liver (without the mess of faeces being involved) is to get a commercial sieve and catch what comes out. It helps to appreciate what these things are doing to us by seeing them up close, realising their toxicity, perhaps weighing them and cutting them open to see what is lurking inside. Some people also get their samples checked by researchers to see exactly what has poisoned them  – personally, just knowing they are now gone, is all that is needed.

Many people have accomplished great results purging their body of parasites, pollutants, contaminants, calcified balls and cholesterol liver blockages – some results of liver cleanses can be viewed here.
