ENERGY UPGRADES Try as we might to accomplish more in our waking moments, sometimes the energy levels required for us just to fulfil the day's regular requirements – let alone achieve great feats of strength, endurance and mental prowess – may unfortunately be beyond our reach. Caffeine, sugar and alcohol can all deliver a quick-fix solution for pulling us through periods of low energy. But rather than turning to the usual stimulants for a boost, we need to understand how energy is used/stored and be more aware of the factors which cause energy levels to drop in the first place.
